2 Nov

Hold me to these! After more than two-and-a-half years, I’ve never done these things and I WANT TO!

Visit The Cloisters
Rent bikes in Central Park
The Jewish Museum
The Tenement Museum
Boat rental in Central Park
Ice skate at Rockefeller Center
The Cooper-Hewitt Museum
Take dance classes at Alvin Ailey
See a New York City Ballet performance
Watch baseball at the new stadium(s)
See Sarah Jessica Parker on the street
Be an extra
Take improv comedy classes at UCB
Update 1: The Highline

Beat me to any of these and want to send me a short review? I will post readers’ thoughts on the above activities in an updated version of this post.

I went on a tour of the Tenement Museum for school. It was actually really, really interesting. It probably would have been moreso if I didn’t have to write a report on it 😉 I’d definitely recommend it!

The Tenement Museum was really cool…and I saw SJP on the SATC2 set, but I don’t know if that counts. Something else fun you might want to try is waiting overnight for SNL standby tickets. It’s so much fun and it’s sooooo worth it if you get in to see the show!

As a student at Alvin Ailey, I highly recommend taking one of their extension classes. It really is quality instruction in a beautiful facility.
Also, City Ballet has some cheap tickets in what is known as the “nose-bleed” section, but you can still get a good view of the stage.
Lastly, being an extra is not all its cracked up to be. It can make for a very long day possibly outside in the cold- although I’m still glad to say I’ve done it!
    I love reading your blog!
